Stu, Avatar is not really that bad – you would probably enjoy it. The plot is sort of secondary to the experience – all the little details make it a delight to watch. A lot of films are “skip it at the movies, maybe watch it on DVD”, Avatar is exactly the opposite, there really is no point in waiting for the DVD.

Also, just for the record, you are old.

A friend described it as ‘Pocahontas in Space’. I have to admit I have absolutely no interest in seeing Avatar. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

I must be getting old or jaded? Maybe that should be old and jaded…
